Welcome to the 2016 PRASA-RobMech International Conference incorporating The 27th Annual Symposium of the Pattern Recognition Association of South Africaand The 9th Robotics and Mechatronics Conference of South Africa. It will take place from 30 November to 2 December 2016 at Stellenbosch University, South Africa. The two-day main conference will be preceded by a day of workshops and tutorials. This is a great opportunity to meet other like-minded scientists in the interdisciplinary fields of pattern recognition, robotics and mechatronics.

Paper Format
Submitted papers must follow the IEEE conference proceedings and be submitted in PDF format. The following formats are invited in English, the official conference language:
Full papers reporting on original and unpublished research.
Work-in-progress papers reporting on on-going research or innovative ideas for future research, presented in order to generate feedback.
Both contributions are limited to a minimum of four pages and a maximum of six pages, and only full papers will be published in the final proceedings.

Paper submissions will be accepted from 1 August to 31 August 2016. More details will be provided in due course.

Workshop/tutorial proposals will be accepted from 1 August to 16 September 2016. More details will be provided in due course.
